In other news, the body of Cayo resident Dora Salas was found in Guatemala back in February. Salas had been traveling from El Salvador when she was killed. However, not long before her death, she'd sold a 2018 Toyota Tacoma here in Belize. After the sale, the pickup was stolen from the new owners who were then extorted.
There are reports that while Salas is dead, the Tacoma is still somewhere in Belize. We asked the ComPol about it.

"Reports are that it is still somewhere in the wider Belmopan area, are the police following up on this?"

"I am not aware of that, no one brought that information to us but if it is then certainly the police will continue to keep it on our radar."

"Sir seeing as though the Tacoma is a high value vehicle and being a salesman yourself you would know how sought after this vehicle is, did you find it strange that Ms Salas, who doesn't have a high income job was able to have such a vehicle and be able to sell it?"

"I can't interfere in the lady's private life, that's not a matter for me to determine, no, I'm not going to answer that."

"And you don't think it's related somehow to her death?"
