And while that mother claims her daughter is being held ransom for her wanted son, the ComPol says that he knows she was detained, but it could've been based on her association, not due to the SOE. Here's what he told us today.

"I'm not familiar about that, that just came to my attention just a few minutes ago. I know that she yes was detained by the police but I'm not aware of her being sent to prison under the SOE so I'll be looking at that as soon as I get through from here."
Courtney Menzies:
"If it is that she is essentially being held for no reason, what then happens to the officers that arrested her?"

"I will look to see why they did it. Obviously she's the sister of the Meighan brothers and Belizean society already labelled them a certain way so perhaps the officers are operating on that and so like I said, I will look at it and see what is the reason and make a decision from there."

"Is the search for Ellis Meighan, are you any closer to finding him?"

"And this time no, we have not been able to locate him."
