Yesterday we told you about the three members of PIV who were arraigned in court and remanded for firearm and drug-related offenses, and the charge sheet which said that the cache of drugs and guns was found on St George's Caye.
The island is about eight miles east of Belize City, where locals and tourists visit often, especially in September.
So was this popular island also a stash spot for one of the Belize City gangs? We asked the ComPol, but he was tightlipped.

"With the island, the PIV island, according to court report that island, which we had no idea where it was, happened to be right on St George's Caye, are you able to confirm this?"
