And Bradley also complained about the excessive charges - one for each payment, rather than one collective charged. ACP Romero confirmed it was based on the different transactions, but when we asked about the excessive detention, he said he was not aware of it.
ACP Hilberto Romero, OCED
"About a month ago, a complainant reported that she met a female identified as Doris Grant with which she had several monetary transactions for a property and a house. An investigation was carried out and since then Doris Grant was charged for fourteen counts of theft and 14 counts of obtaining property be deception."
Courtney Menzies:
"The 14 counts has do because she paid 14 payments to Ms Grant?"
ACP Hilberto Romero, OCED
"14 different transactions."
Reporter:
"Can you say how much she transferred over that period?"

ACP Hilberto Romero, OCED
"I do not have the total amount."
Courtney Menzies:
"Ms Grant has complained that she was in police custody since Wednesday and she was just taken to court today, that's like 5 days in police custody."
ACP Hilberto Romero, OCED
"I know she was in custody in Queen Street on Friday, that is what I know."
Courtney Menzies:
"Her attorney says she was in custody since Wednesday."
ACP Hilberto Romero, OCED
"I would need to check on that but I know she came there on Friday, for this case."
We note that we have heard of other complaints of land fraud against Grant - for sales which also never went through - and these are in the millions of dollars. Police are also investigating those claims.
