The second weekend murder occurred on Sunday afternoon. It was a double shooting that left one person dead and forced the other to race to the hospital with gunshot injuries. But 32-year-old Stanley Moore seemed to have a premonition about his death since he had already warned his family. Courtney Menzies spoke to his brother today and has this story.
This BMW car raced into the KHMH emergency lane at around 4:20 on Sunday afternoon. It had a shattered back window and two injured passengers. 32-year-old Stanley Moore was dead in the passenger seat, while 27-year-old Joshua Gillett sat in the driver's seat, bleeding out.
Minutes earlier, they were driving on Mahogany Street Extension when shots were fired at them near the junction with Amandala Drive, and Gillett sped off towards the hospital.
But while he is in a critical condition, it was too late for Moore. His younger brother said that it was hard for him to accept when he just learned the news.

"At first I didn't believe it but it's when my other brothers told me they're by the barber shop so I should go see them, and then they were showing me the pictures on the news. Then when I went to see the body this morning, I realized it's actually that."
"Last time I spoke to him, he was like, bredda, I want a little money from you because things bad right now. I told him I just got pay but I'm going to dive so when I come back from there I will see you. And before that, like the Saturday night, I was with some friends, I went to pick up some friends and he came same time and we were talking so I told him tomorrow evening when I finished diving I would come and hail you. By the time I reached home, I already got the news."
And he said his brother was already on high alert since he may have been threatened:

"He did say something like that but I don't really want to comment on that right now but it's something he told my mom, and he told my cousin about it, but I don't really want to comment on that."
"I won't say he was a saint or anything like that because he has his things that he does, he goes to spend his time and stuff but when the man is out here and around us, lot of jokes and fun, we talk, we used to go diving because he used to dive with me and my dad, like we drink together, he would go and buy a little draw around the lane and we will sit and talk stupidness and idle up ourselves in the yard but apart from that on the street I won't say he is a saint because I don't know what was happening out there."
Police moved quickly and are about to charge one person for the murder:

ACP Hilberto Romero, OC Eastern Division
"We have one person in custody for this murder who will be charged later on today for the crime of murder. And we are seeking for one more suspect."
Reporter
"These two men do you believe that it may be an issue of gang related activity given that these two men are from Conch Shell Bay and they were in the Lake I area."
ACP Hilberto Romero, OC Eastern Division
"Yes it has some gang element to it yes."
Still the family grieves without even knowing for sure why Moore was targeted.
Voice of: David, Brother of Deceased
"So far, we're trying. Right now, all of us are supposed to be at work, but we're here trying to figure out how we will get this down, how it will happen. Then my mom is in the States, she can't come in, a lot of things right now."
