In our first segment we told you all about the State of Emergency which rolled like Thunder through the city and those western villages.
And while it was a victory for police who felt like soldiers waging a war - for civilians - it was a different, very scary experience.
That's how it was for a family on Castle Street which awoke to the sounds of policemen banging on their doors at the crack of dawn, only to be met with a disproportionate measure of force.
Jomarie Lanza met with the shaken up family today and they recounted their encounter with police this morning.
And after the state of emergency went into effect this morning, police swept gang affiliated neighborhoods for gang members.
And that's what led the cops to this home on Castle Street with a mission. But the residents describe the encounter with police as violent, threatening and disrespectful.

"I was sleeping and my daughter woke me up and said the police is outside. So afterwards I got up and pulled on something and started walking towards the door with the key and I heard them running upstairs into my sister's house and when they were running I heard "police police, open the effing door." So I didn't pay it any mind as long as they don't come downstairs I won't open my door. By the time they got downstairs I was trying to open up my door and I couldn't open my door fast enough so one of them started to bang down my door and said open up open up police. At the count of five or else I will * shoot. At that time I was trembling and I didn't even hear, all I heard was 1 and 4 I didn't hear 2 and 3. At that time I jumped from in front of the door because I saw him with the big gun cranked. By that time my gentleman went to open the door and they pushed him on the ground and they started barging in. When they barged in now my 12 year old daughter was beside the kitchen and then she moved so the police said keep one effing place I play my own music and I dance to it. So I said sir that's my baby she is only 12 and he said he doesn't give a Miss. Just like that he said."
And if their tone and language wasn't enough to scare this mother, her nightmare worsened when the police went as far as to allegedly pull out and point his loaded firearm in the direction of her one year old granddaughter.

"So my gentleman that they pushed down in front of the door, he was still standing there so when they passed him again they jammed the big gun into my gentleman's back. The mark is still there on his white shirt and they asked him if he is in a gang and what's his name. He told them his name and so I said he isn't in any gang. He is a barber. So just like that I told police and then afterwards they walked out."
"They always come here but at no time they behaved like this. I always saw this kind of behavior here at next people house I watch it on live and thing but it's the first time i experienced it and I didn't even know what to do if I should pee, stool or vomit, I trembled and trembled I'm tired of those police I'm tired."
"Miss the man said anything that moves in the house dies so if my grand baby moved Miss and he stuck his gun on my grand baby. Miss my daughter who was supposed to graduate tomorrow. she didn't go to school today because of this."
"For instance we put up cameras because every time they say that my son or my nephew do things, so my pa put in cameras for our safety but it's not for our safety anymore because they come for it for their own use you know for their use when something happens. We are even scared to give it out because sometimes the bad boys would think we are being snitches."
And while weapons were being flashed in front of children downstairs, upstairs where Sebastian's older sister resides, thermally claims police left evidence to incriminate them at a later date:

"The police they came with an agenda today, I guess they came to criminalize my household because they came and they left an expended shell that had already been fired on my railing and not only that they came and left one inside my house as well so what was their intention? Was their intention to come back and cart us off to prison? Depriving us of our rights as human beings?"
Their rights they say were cast aside despite Sebastian handing over her son to police the day before.

"So they took my son from here yesterday, well the police came peacefully yesterday, but today Mr Cáliz came in a rage as if though we had committed any crime against him and his family, or the government and himself, but he came in a rampage and he disrespected me and my household. He brought out my daughter in law naked out of the bathroom and violated her rights. They took my son out from his bed and he doesn't give any trouble."
We spoke with Officer Caliz who told us it was a special operation and they quickly detained the suspect and left. He added, quote, "they will always have issues with hard police ops; her claim is baseless." End quote.
The family adds that the commissioner sent a police constable to speak with them this afternoon.
