And there are also complaints in Roaring Creek and Cotton Tree - where families say that working men have been taken off their job site and detained.

Today some of those residents made their way to the Roaring Creek Police station to check on their loved ones who they believed were wrongfully detained by police.

One woman claims that when her significant other was detained he was brutalized by police.

"Well, I am out here because my other half, he got locked up, but I know for a fact that he was at home the night, because we had a family function and all of us were there. So we reached home early and we were there."

"So when, like, before the thing happened, we just, I hear, you know, the dogs and I never know that already happened, what happened at the station. And I know for a fact that he was at home. So I don't know what the government and the FEDS are coming with this whole thing, that S.O.E. and they need to get locked up, that is past nonsense. And they even beat up my other half, like, like that is their child. They should realize they have kids, nobody want, nobody chance their kids like that."

"So we are out here. This is foolishness. It doesn't make no sense those guys go for something they didn't do. They know exactly what happened here and what made this whole thing happen." v "So they need to just get their act together and left them boys alone, cause it doesn't make no sense. They are taking them for nothing. So that, like, if anything happened, anybody could come and do something in the village and they will say its the village boys."

"So, like, they are getting false accused for something, they did not do."

We'll keep following the story.
