Last week, 26 year old call center agent Brian Perriott Jr., pleaded guilty to 3 counts under the Cybercrime Act.
In?un?, Perriott electronically sent a video showing a 20-year old female in the nude without her consent. The victim reported the incident to police - and said he sent it when at the end of their relationship. It was allegedly accompanied by a threatening message from Perriot who stated that he would share the video with her family and post it on facebook.
He also allegedly sent the video to one of her friends.
After he pleaded guilty, he was remanded to the Belize Central Prison pending sentencing for cyber crimes.
But, instead of getting sentenced in court today, he changed his plea to not guilty and lawyered up with OJ Elrington appearing for him today.
After some argument - the court accepted the change and he was granted bail of $8,000 dollars. He was cautioned to not use social media to contact the witnesses, and warned that even a message sent to any social media platform to contact the witnesses will add up to a violation of his bail conditions.
He left the court escorted by his father and given a jacket to put over his head
