Mason Trial Continues, Verdict Expected Next Week

The Danny Mason Trial for Kidnapping and blackmail will continue next week. Trial judge Francis Cumberbatch ruled on an interim matter today and the defence starts their case on Monday. Mason himself and his co accused Ryan Rhaburn are expected to testify. A verdict is expected on Tuesday.

Mason and Rhaburn are charged with two counts of Kidnapping of a Mennonite couple, Lloyd and Rosey Friessen which is alleged to have occurred on May 31, 2016. After he allegedly kidnapped them, Mason is said to have demanded that Lloyd Friessen pay him $2,500 dollars weekly for protection.
