And aside from that, there were no major violent incidents during or after the carnival. In fact, spectators remained behind the barriers, and police diligently patrolled the streets, ensuring that the crowd was kept under control. We asked ACP Romero if the new route made it easier for them.

"I cannot say it was easier but we had no major incidents so that is a good thing. Everybody was of good comportment so we thank the general public for their support and we will continue to police the other events, the tenth parade and the 21st parade. Everything went well and peaceful."
