Tonight Corozal town is reeling after a broad daylight double murder. It wasn't a robbery gone wrong, or some narco activity spilling over from Mexico, but a domestic dispute that caused a mother and daughter to be targeted.

With her family looking on in stunned and shaken disbelief - police carried the body of 46 year old Natasha Clarke from their family residence on 2nd Street North in Corozal Town, the entrance to Skeleton town - just a block from the police station.
Her 21 year old daughter Deysha Hill had already been rushed to the hospital and would die an hour later while receiving treatment.

"Information is that they were at the house when there was a domestic dispute with one Edwin Marin who pulled out a firearm and shot them both. They were taken to the hospital where both were pronounced dead. We are looking for Edwin Marin who fled from the area after the shooting."
Earlier that morning, Deysha's ex boyfriend and father of their child came to the house and shot them both.
Speaking off camera, a relative said it was premeditated:

"I strongly believe this was premeditated. He had ill intent towards her for some time and he came and he, I guess, he executed his plan and now I just want everyone to know who did it and I hope he is held accountable."
The couple had a tumultuous history which is why Deysha left him:

"From my understanding, there was a lot of unhealthy back and forth between them. She made it her business to leave the relationship a while back because it was getting a little too out of hand and for the safety of her daughter and herself, she came back with her mom and I can see it was going peaceful for the most part."
"But I'm sure there's more to it that we don't know between she and him."

"Marin, can you say when he was released from prison?"

"I cannot say at this time, I need to check."
Reporter:
"This is seemingly someone who has ran afoul of the law before. What background do you have on the suspect?"
ACP Hilberto Romero, OCED
"I know he was charged before for one incident, that is all we have on him at this time."
Courtney Menzies:
"Do you know the relationship between him and one of the victims?"
ACP Hilberto Romero, OCED
"Yes, Deysha Hill has a child for him, they were in a relationship."
But how could a domestic dispute end up as double murder? It's an unbelievable loss for the family and the community:

"To us, she was much more than just a cousin, she was more of a big sister. We grew up together, and she is probably the most empathetic person I've known, kind hearted. She's always there to lend a hand. Some of that rubbed off on her daughter, Deysha as well. Deysha would walk into a room and smile, and it just made a world of difference. She's just a bubbly, kind person as well. So that's the best way I can describe. these two lovely ladies. Well, this definitely has rocked us to the core, not only family, but again, like you said, the community, because Corzal is a small town and everyone knew Natasha and her kind demeanor, every customer that came."
And now the family has to care for Deysha's young daughter Ayra - whose mother is dead while her father is on the run:

"I'm just hoping for a bright future for their daughter. Her name is Ayra. And I know with the family by her side that we will do our very best to make sure she grows into a respectful, loving young lady. And that is all I'm sure her grandmother and her mother would have want."
