A chopping incident in La Democracia village last night has left one man hospitalized. According to police the incident stemmed from an altercation between the two men. ASP Stacey Smith says that they expect charges will be levied soon.

"Police are investigating a chopping incident that occurred on 8th June 2025 at approximately 9:50Pm in Democracia village the investigation has thus far revealed that Tyron Godoy and Paul Smith both of the said villages and both of whom were armed one with a knife and the other with a machete, got into a physical altercation which resulted in both individuals receiving injuries to the upper part of their bodies the male person Mr Godoy is currently hospitalised at the KHMH and Mr Smith who was detained shortly after the incident also requested medical attention. Statements are being recorded from both individuals and these statements will dictate what charges will be levied under the circumstances."
"What we can say is that the two male persons are familiar with each other, more information will be disclosed as it becomes necessary to do so."
