Man Released From Double Murder Charge

One of the two men accused in a chilling double murder in Hattieville has walked free after the Office of the DPP entered a nolle pros in his case.

22-year-old Ian Herrera was formally released from custody on Wednesday after the DPP's office declared it would not proceed with charges against him due to insufficient evidence. Herrera had been jointly charged with 25-year-old construction worker Blake Norman Lewis of Peter Lewis Street, also in Hattieville, for the murders of 45-year-old Martin Sho and 67-year-old Joel Andrews.

The two men were found murdered at Joel Andrews farm in October of 2023.
