An American retiree living in the Pine Ridge lost more than a hundred thousand dollars in property and cash when he was the victim of a home invasion yesterday.
63-year-old retiree David Michael Gray lives at mile 2 on the Pine Ridge Road. He told police he was feeding his chickens at 9:30 yesterday morning when he was approached by three men, one of whom had a firearm.
He put the gun to Gray's back, forced him into his house, and tied him up. The culprits proceeded to search his bedroom and demanded money. Fearing for his life, Gray provided them with the password to his safe. The men then stole assorted funs and a grey 2022 Toyota Hilux, along with tools, all valued at approximately $115,377.00 Belize dollars. No one has been arrested.
