Eugene Ramirez was the caretaker of a farm in Carmelita - but on Friday morning, he allegedly killed the 68 year old woman residing there, Esthel Trapp - who also happened to be his employee's mother.
He bludgeoned her to death with a hammer and then called the police. We asked police about the incident today, and Romero told us that when they first got the call, Trapp's killer was very brief and upfront about what had occurred and what he had done.
ACP Hilberto Romero, OC Eastern Division
"We cannot confirm that they had a confrontation, an argument at the house and that is what led to this person causing the injuries to Ms Trapp."
Jules Vasquez
"Are you able to say what was the nature of the confrontation?"
ACP Hilberto Romero, OC Eastern Division
"We do not know all he mentioned was that they had an argument and he hit her with an object and that is what caused her death."
Reporter
"And he turned himself in?"

ACP Hilberto Romero, OC Eastern Division
"He was there present when the police arrived, yes."
Jules Vasquez
"Had she been receiving threats from him?"
ACP Hilberto Romero, OC Eastern Division
"Not that we know of they both stayed at that isolated location by themselves."
"The call was brief he mentioned that there was argument and he had caused injuries to the female and she was motionless."
He returns to court in November.
