And, turning now to police news, a man was also arrested for breaking into a woman's home on Perez Road in Ladyville. According to ASP Smith, members of the public helped in the detention of the perpetrator and the recovery of many of the items that were stolen.

"Police have formally arrested and charged 28-year-old Freddy Vasquez of 13 miles Philip Goldson Highway for the offense of burglary. This arrest follows an investigation into the burglary that occurred on Perez Road, Ladyville Village, where a female reported that on 22nd October, sometime around 3 o'clock a.m., she was awakened by an unusual noise in her home."

"Upon making inquiry, she would have encountered a male person who then proceeded to rummage through her house and packaging a number of items before making good his escape. As a consequence of police's investigation, as well as the assistance of members of the public, police were able to apprehend Mr. Vasquez shortly after the incident and recovered the stolen items."
