It's one of the most confounding - almost sinister - weather systems in recent memory and tonight Tropical Storm Melissa almost seems to be taunting Jamaica and Haiti.
Currently, Melissa's is located in the central Caribbean Sea, about 200 miles southeast of Jamaica. And it isn't moving much, at the moment. But, the storm is expected to rapidly instensify into a Category 4 or even a Category 5 storm.
Still, the majority of the damage will be from the catastrophic amounts of rain to parts of Haiti and Jamaica.
This afternoon, Jamaica's entire emergency response apparatus form the executive branch down to the disaster response agency held a joint press conference. PM Andrew Holness said they don't want to move prematurely:
