And Budna also urged police officers who played some role in the abduction or who may have witnessed it to come forward and give truthful statements. 7News has received multiple credible reports of police officers being induced to give false statements which ended up in the "less than nothing" file that was sent to the DPP. Budna urged them to do the right thing and fight the cover-up:
