And even though there is clear evidence which shows that state actors carried out Budna's abduction, today the Attorney General - clung steadfastly to his "officer of the court" position when he maintained that no such thing has happened. And even when the evidence is in plain view for all the public to see - like just about every other minister, he, of course, doesn't follow the news or current events.

REPORTER-
"As the attorney general is it a concern that it appears there was in fact a cover up and that there was state involvement by way of its officials or employees in the government service?"

Anthony Sylvester, Attorney General
"Well I cannot state and I cannot say that there was a state cover up or that there was state involvement. As far as what I have reviewed there was no such indication to me but of course as with life, things emerge or things come about. But at this point in time no, my answer to that question is I don't see that: No."

REPORTER-
"But there is a whole other thing that is coming out with the police officers saying that they were ordered to record second statements not telling the truth or perverting the truth so it's becoming convoluted now."

"So as a lawyer, I look at things through a legal prism and so I can't speak to that I actually haven't heard, none of that has been supplied to me so I can't speak to that I cannot comment any further on that."
