Recently we have seen an increase in the number of missing persons turning up dead. There were three in April.

Public sentiment suggests that Police Department are not giving the cases enough attention, but the Home Affairs CEO says, they are still working on locating these individuals, no matter the time frame:

Elton Bennett, CEO - Ministry of Home Affairs
"We would never abandon, any missing person. The scale of operation may shift based on intelligence. But we would never abandon you would see us putting up posters. You would see us engaging in community. So the increased number of missing person reports is definitely something that, the police department is looking at. We're trying to, to increase our intelligence. So whether that's by surveillance, by drones and that's infiltrating these, different groups within a certain part in particular to determine, the whereabouts of these individuals, just to improve or interdiction, sorry, or, their ability to locate those individuals."
