In Punta Gorda, police arrested and charged a senior citizen for drug trafficking after he attempted to board a bus at the terminal with the drugs in his possession.
ASP Stacy Smith explained how police apprehended him.

"Police have formally arrested and charged 65 year old John Gabourel of Jose Maria Nunez street of Punta Gorda for the offense of possession of controlled drugs with intent to supply. This arrest follows a search of Mr Gabourel on Friday 12th June as he exited a terminal with a manila envelope. The search of the envelope led to the discovery of 2 transparent plastic bags containing suspected cocaine amounting to 57.79 grams."
