From Mr. Nice Guy to Miss ACC, The Anglican Cathedral College is cornering the market on teen queens and kings.
This weekend ACC will pick its first ever Miss ACC and Keith Swift visited with the contestants.
Keith Swift Reporting,
Delonie Flores, Adriana Hernandez, Keisha Roca, Sherilee McKenzie, Natasha Hernandez, and Ashlee Sutherland are all second form students at ACC, all friends, all in a fierce battle for the Miss ACC crown. This will be a "g" rated battle though, organizer Brian Plummer warns to expect more brains on display than just beauty.
Brian Plummer, Miss ACC Organizer
"Officially we say it's not a beauty pageant. I will go as far as to say the emphasis is not on beauty - its not talent and intelligence. You can call it a beauty pageant but that's not what we are emphasizing."
But hey that doesn't mean it will be no fun because these girls say that's all they really want to do.
So who will the queen of ACC? I'll have to reserve my judgment on that.
Miss ACC will be chosen at 7 on Friday night at Bird's Isle. Tickets are on sale for $5. The money raised will be used to help the school.
