Early next week Miss Belize 2003/2004 Leilah Pandy will fly out to Quito, Ecuador to begin final preparations for the Miss Universe Pageant on June 1st.
Before she leaves the last chance you'll get to see Leilah is a fundraising gala and fashion show being held at the Princess Hotel. Today, she stopped by the seven news studios to let us know how preparations are coming along for the Miss Universe Pageant.

"Of course naturally nervous. I am going to be among the most beautiful women in the world, some of the most beautiful women in the world. I am going to be meeting important people like the Donald and I am hoping he is going to say 'you're hired.' We also get to meet the President of Ecuador Mr. Luis so it's promising to be quite an adventure."
"I am confident in my abilities. They have certain criteria a Miss Universe and honestly I think I do fit it in terms of what they are looking for. However the only thing I find that could determine it are the judges."
Tickets for Friday's night fundraising gala are available at the Princess Hotel or from Pageants Belize committee members. Miss Belize will be accompanied by a chaperone to Quito, Ecuador. For true pageant devotees, there will be an excursion from Belize to Ecuador leaving on May 28th.
