He's the grand old man of Belizean music but who knew Paranda legend Paul Nabor was also a musical don in Honduras? Well he is, as became abundantly clear when he visited for a tour in promotion of Aurelio Martinez's album, Garifuna Soul. Stonetree's Ivan Duran reports that strangers have been stopping "Nabi" in the streets of Tegucigalpa and singing his songs. His celebrity status was confirmed by officials in that city when he received a signed proclamation declaring him a distinguished guest of Tegucigalpa. Nabi's understudy, Aurelio Martinez will next mount a Central American tour in advance of the Mexican release of his album.
