TV self-help guru Dr. Phil McGraw will be on the David Letterman Show tonight. He will also be hosting a one hour special on CBS tomorrow night. And the weekend before those big appearances the good doctor was in Belize. Ron Sniffin from the San Pedro Sun and I caught with him on San Pedro here's Ron's interview.

Dr. Phil McGraw,
"I am enjoying Belize."

Ron Sniffin, San Pedro Sun
What brings you here?

Dr. Phil McGraw,
"Well scuba diving, water, and sun so we were down in Florida doing some work and we just thought we would hop over here to Belize and just have a great time."

Ron Sniffin,
How long have you been here?

Dr. Phil McGraw,
"Well we got in Friday and we dove Friday and Saturday, and did some deep sea fishing this morning, and now we are off again headed to New York, I've got to do David Letterman tomorrow night."

Ron Sniffin,
Well that sounds like a tough duty, what are you going to tell your viewers about your trip to Belize? Or are you?

Dr. Phil McGraw,
"Of course I want to tell them that we had a great time. The people are friendly and the conditions were just absolutely perfect so it is just really a wonderful and friendly community right here. We didn't get to spend anytime in Belize City, we've been right here on San Pedro the whole time, but we really enjoyed it."

Ron Sniffin,
Is this your first time here?

Dr. Phil McGraw,
"It is my first time here but I'm a 20 year scuba diver all over the Caribbean and we just decided to give Belize a try because we'd heard so many good things about it."

Ron Sniffin,
How would you say Belize compare to some of the other places you've visited?

Dr. Phil McGraw,
"I think its not as developed as some of the other areas commercially which I think gives it a real interesting flare. Its not nearly like being in the States so it's a bit of a contrast and we found it absolutely delightful, dives were spectacular."

Again you can catch Dr. Phil on the David Letterman Show tonight and he will be hosting a one hour special on CBS tomorrow night.
