Who or what defines a Belizean? Well if you say Creole, Mestizo, or Garifuna you are only partially correct. A new exhibit is showing that Belizeans come in all shapes, sizes, and faces. 'Faces,' an exhibition of works from painter Chris Emmanuel opened this morning at the House of Culture. The artist along with guest speaker Gilvano Swasey spoke to primary school students about how faces define identity.

Chris Emmanuel,
"I want you to enjoy the exhibit and see yourself in it because its

about you, its about the beautiful people that are here in Belize."

Gilvano Swasey,
"This exhibit shows us who we are as a people. We are all mixed up, not messed up like Ralph said, we are mixed and that's what makes up beautiful and

as you look at these pieces in this exhibit you will probably see yourself."

The exhibition is currently open at Government House of Culture.
