Tomorrow night, three alternative rock bands will perform at what's being billed as the biggest rock concert ever in Belize. It's called the Unity Concert and it will feature live performances from Echoes, Zero Discipline, and Aquarius Bands. Keith Swift caught up with the newly formed Aquarius Band at rehearsals this afternoon and they gave us a preview of tomorrow night's concert. The group members say that while it'll be a rock concert, they will be playing everything from reggae music to top 40 hits.
Herschel Armstrong, Band Leader
"It's the newest alternative band you'll see in Belize right now. I'm the leader Herschel Armstrong; this is our lead singer, B. Armstrong; we've got Alexander Evans who is our guitarist/bassist; Peter Enriquez is guitarist/bassist as well; and Darryl Young, the list goes on for him: guitarist, base, keyboards, and drums. He does it all."

Herschel Armstrong,
"We've been friends for quite a while before now and we've always been having the same interest, which is music and the same type of music that we are interested in as well. And between Darryl, Alex, and myself, we just used to be playing sounds anyway, just for the heck of it, and so we just decided we should really forma band and get this thing going.
"Tomorrow definitely you can expect the best show that Aquarius has ever put on, considering we've only been together for two months. This will be our third performance as a group and I'm feeling really good about this time. Tomorrow definitely you can expect to come out and expect to hear a lot of the popular alternative songs that are out right now for young people that are into that kind of stuff. For the older folks you can hear more of the classic like more soft rap type songs, Aerosmith for example, you can hear reggae music, we do some Spanish songs, and we do a little Lauryn Hill, kind of like soft hip-hop type."

Leslie Brooks, Publicity Director - Barracuda Ent.
"For tomorrow night we are bringing together three bands. We are trying to make this genre of music more recognized in Belize because these people really have talent but they don't get the opportunity to display their talent. It's going to be more than rock music, because they've displayed that they are able to play more than rock music."
The Heineken Unity Concert begins at 830 pm tomorrow night at the Putt Putt Bar and Grill on Newton Barracks.
