Lord Rhaburn, Leela Vernon, and Mister Peters will headline the fourth annual Belize Sound Fest tomorrow night. The show kicks off at 8:30 inside the City Center and with its all star line up, promoters say it is the local entertainment alternative. Tony Wright from The Association for Belizeans Artist First, who is also a performer, says Sound Fest will be all things Belizean, from Brukdown to Country and Western.
Tony Wright,
"A lot of excitement and action from the best of the best of Belizean artists. For sure we have a whole lineup of all great Belizean stars. Not only that but we have some of the artists who for the first time will be releasing their albums or special songs, so for the first time Belizeans will get to hear it when they go to the Sound Fest. So it will be top of the line and the best of the Belizean stars right there tomorrow night, all the best Belizean artists. We are looking for Belizeans to come out and get satisfaction for the three hours or however long the show runs; it will be all action from beginning to end.
All we are asking is for the people to come out and we will show them that we can put on a show just as good as anybody else. We don't have any problem with the foreigners, we aren't afraid of them, we just feel that they get major support and promotions and all of this, and when we go to the same people they start to bawl and things like that. So we are not asking for sympathy, we are asking the Belizeans to come out and check it out. That is all we want them to do."
Again Sound Fest begins at 8:30 pm at the City Center.
