And while Dave Burgos' wife a rough day in court, Burgos himself had a bad day in the political trenches. One year after he was declared Chairman of the PUP's Northern Caucus, he lost that seat today. In a meeting at Tony's Inn at Corozal, Deputy Party Leader John Briceno was unanimously voted back to that post.

Burgos's unexpected ascendance to that seat last year came after the G-7 split and as seen as a maneuver orchestrated by the Prime Minister's loyalists to punish and destabilize Briceno for resigning.
