He has a voice and a flow reminiscent of the gravel-throated greats of the early dancehall era, but Easy Glen is no throwback artist. His message is very much in the present, with messages that sound a heavy note of political protest. But he said he's not for rent to any political party, he's just a messenger for what he calls dire times and, more than that, this artist has bills to pay.

Easy Glen,
"Nobody is really promoting these things, it is just things what I see and what I've been through. That is what makes me bring out this CD, 'Who Do You Think You Are.'

You asked if I didn't use to sing for PUP. Who was more PUP than Easy Glen? You're right and I am saying right to the government that it is not like I am obligated to anyone. I am not obligated to no one because I am saying this is my time. This is how I eat. This is not about no red or blue, this is how I eat, through music. This is the truth and the truth is in the lyrics is in the music."

Easy Glen's new album was released on Tuesday and is available at local record stores.
