On Monday afternoon, the Heights of Vibes collective will bring together all major Belizean performers for their annual bash. It happens on Monday afternoon in Craig's Lumber Yard on North Front Street. Dan Marcus I and Fawda Lee say this year, it's all about increasing peace in the streets.
Dan Marcus I,
"It is just an initiative for the youths to come out and have a day of recreation because with the amount of things happening in the streets of Belize, we as ghetto youths we have an obligation to calm down the streets, so to speak, because too many things are going around us and at the end of the day the trouble might just come to our door so we have to try make a stop and try to make a better environment for us to all live in. So for us music is a way how we could do that."
Fawda Lee,
"We are trying to spread some peace and love in the streets, show the youths to live upright, stop this lotta gun violence and this lotta killing. Let us try to unite together. If we could together in one place, under one roof, listen to some nice music, and support each other - that is a start. This year we will turn it up a notch as the artists will be backed by a live band, especially Dan Marcus I who has that big fan base out there right now."
