And while the Dells are ringing back the old time celebration album, a new artist has produced a cutting edge hip-hop album. He began with nursery rhymes at age ten and ten years later 20 year old rapper Kenworth Pandy feels he is on the verge of a commercial breakthrough. Pandy, who prefers for you to call him Glacius, traveled from Corozal to Belize City today to promote the video for his song: "I am a star...the final calling." While Pandy has an album he wrote and recorded and a video to boot, the struggling musician says he still needs your help. He explained.
Kenworth Pandy, 'Glacius'
"All my life music has been the main thing. I have had jobs and stuff like that but I never really took my mind off of music, that is what I do: music. I focus my music on things that happen all around in Belize and I do it in an American type of style because that is what the young people of today want. Glacius is just a young man with goals who is trying to reach his goals.
This video that I have out is mainly seeking for sponsorship because the song is, 'I am a star...the final calling,' which is trying to tell the people, the big business people who have cheese, that I am looking for sponsorship to support me. I think I have what it takes to go all the way and if I get this sponsorship I will be able to do that. That is what the video is trying to say."
