On Wednesday and Thursday the Salvation Army held parties for a total of one thousand primary school students, most of them underprivileged. Well today it was the senior's turn. About one hundred senior citizens were this afternoon fed and then entertained at the Bliss Center. The Institute of Creative Arts' Leroy Green told us that they provided the entertainment and the House of Culture provided the food.

Leroy Green, Programme Director - ICA
"This year we amalgamated forces and the Institute of Creative Arts is responsible for the entertainment section of the entire show while the House of Culture is responsible for the food and drinks part of the show. Normally in the show we have Christmas songs, we have Christmas skits, Christmas poem, we have surprise gifts. And this year we have a lot of surprises, for example like people who sing the best, the seenager who sings the best, the person who dances the best, the oldest person, and the youngest person in the room like that so they are given surprise prizes.

We think that the senior citizens are an important part of our country and since it is not all year long that we can afford to honor them, we think that Christmas time, which is a time for sharing, is the best time to really show them that we remember them and appreciate them."
