Reggae dancehall artists Mavado and Tessanne Chin will perform tonight at the City Center – and it is the concert everyone is talking about. Mavado is the “Real McKoy” and right now the 25-year-old is the biggest name in dancehall music. Tessanne Chin is the sister of reggae songstress Tami Chin but has a style of her own, fusing rock and reggae. She stopped back by our studios and gave us a peek into her “Secret Hideaway.”

Tessanne Chin, Performer
“It is my first time here and I am looking forward to it. The Belizean people are so lovely, they are so warm, and can’t just wait to show that love to them tonight. So you all have to come out and support me and Mavado. It is going to be a really great show.”

Keith Swift,
Why should people come and see you tonight?

Tessanne Chin,
“Because it is going to be blazing. Definitely you are going to get something different. With me you get the more laid back, a little more edgy rock and reggae and with Mavado, he is going to just kill it so you have to come. My heart and my soul is what I put into music and that is what came out. So I couldn’t be forced to choose between rock and reggae because I love them both equally. So I decided I am going to fuse it and a lot of people tried to discourage me from doing it but its paying off now so thank God and here we are.”
