For the entire month of February the bamboo creations of husband and wife team of Roland Seraphim Gabourel and Janice Young will be on display and for sale at the House of Culture. Together they are ‘Face It Productions' and have a workshop in Burrell Boom. But you can see and buy samples at the House of Culture. This afternoon they showed us their exotic creations.

Janice Young, ‘Face It Productions'
"We have the napkin holders and then we have the lamps and we have the hanging boat. We have mirror boxes and then we have the collector items which are the miniature house and we have the train. We have the horse and chariot and we have a whole lot of necklaces and earnings."

Roland Seraphim Gabourel, ‘Face It Productions'
"It is very hard work. A piece can take three, four, or five days

to finish. It is like a puzzle. Bamboo is like a puzzle and the chairs, tables, the picture frames, and every thing is unique, authentic, and one of a kind. That's why we call it the ‘Face It Productions Exotic Bambu Me.' It is originally pieces."

Keith Swift,
Why did you choose to work in bamboo?

Roland Seraphim Gabourel,
"Well it is natural and it is environmentally friendly and it is here in abundance and it is something that we can use in Belize."

Janice Young,
"Bamboo also replaces lumber. The lumber is dwindling in our country."

Again it runs through to the end of February from 8 am to 5 pm daily. The items are on sale or you can special order. You can contact Roland at 625-0853 or Janice at 626-7022.
