24,000 Flocked to Agric

it may have been one of the hottest weekends of the year – but 24,000 Belizeans still attended the National Agricultural and Trade Show in Belmopan. It was 96 degrees in the shade – but eight thousand came out on Saturday and twice that sixteen thousand came out on Sunday.

That 24,000 attendance while impressive isn’t all that – as it is 8,000 off last year’s 32,000. Organizers blame the postponement of the event which was forced by the swine flu scare.
