Where there's summer vacation, there is never a shortage of summer camps throughout the country. This year the National Institute of Culture and History through the Institute of Creative Arts is set to have a Summer Art Program in different areas of the country. Organizer Clive Myers explained the purpose…

"What do you hope to achieve with the summer camp?"

Clive Myers, Organizer

"What we are hoping to achieve with the summer arts program here at the Bliss is simply to help the Belizean public that even if you are artistically incline or not and if you have a simple interest in the arts, we are inviting you to attend the classes because they are here for you and probably for those who already have you would say that 'fresh start' or they already what they want to do. They can just visit us here at the Bliss and attend the summer program and polish the skill that they already have. What the summer program here at ICA is offering is simply for those people to come, not just to enjoy their summer but simply build on something that they know they can definitely use in their future."

The courses, which include photography, videography, dance, piano, drawing, and drama, are set to begin on June 28th and will continue until August 27th. For more information or for those who may be interested you can contact the Bliss Center for Performing Arts.
