Joel Robinson, he's not a billionaire donating to a charity; he's just one man trying to make a difference with his year round food drive. He's having his annual tribute concert entitled "Together as one" in honor of Lucky Dube on August 7th to raise money for needy families. Apart from that, he's having a food drive, and he's urging everyone to donate at least one can of food. He told us more.

Joel "Dara" Robinson

"Two shows I do every year; the Bob Marley and the Lucky Dube tribute. I always say that I don't do those shows without a reason behind it, I try to help out especially children. I feel a joy when I help out. So again on August 7, we will do the Lucky Dube tribute and I will be doing a food drive starting from today which is August 2. I will try as long as God holds the weather. I will be out here from 1:30 til about 5:30 and again I am calling on the people that can afford, you can even bring one tin of can food, I am accepting anything, for example, rice. As soon as I get the barrel full and after the show I will go and deliver that to the needy family. That is the easiest thing that I can do because I deal with people on a daily basis. I myself am showing people how they can help each other. We are crying out for peace and togetherness and really and truly we don't help each other because every neighborhood knows somebody that is punishing. People could help."

You can find him outside of Venus photos and records on Albert Street everyday with his barrel collecting food.
