Another drive was held in the area of our 7news studio this weekend. It's the blood drive for Farah Jones, the 29 year old mother who has kidney failure, and is constantly in need of blood for her biweekly dialysis treatments. The last time she made our newscast was when her old Wesley college classmates teamed up in an effort to set up a blood drive.
And though Jules Vasquez did his part at the Win Belize office where the blood bank set up[ a makeshift clinic, when we checked with Farah today, she told us that it didn't turn out as well as she'd hoped. She only managed to get about 7 pints of blood. She's still holding on to hope, as her condition worsens.
