The Artist Alex Sanker took on the role of urban superhero a few months ago when he came to the defence of a tamales vendor, and beat down some young criminals who robbed him.

But, as he says, he's an artist for life, and today, he was back on the streets with some very mixed political messages. We caught up with him at the bridgefoot...

You'll often find Alex Sanker at the foot of the swing bridge staging his impromptu Albert Street exhibitions but today on election day eve. Sanker was touting his abilities as a political expert and showing off his arguably prophetic images of U.S. President Trump's loss.

Alex Sanker, Artist
"It's funny as human nature we choose to see what we want to see. Me as an independent artist I don't do that I just deal with straight fact and I always pay attention the way society, government etc. run so my thing is it's not no lucky guess I've been doing this now for 5 different elections here home and abroad. I'm just keeping it real and a lot of people can't deal with that."

And if you were strolling off the swing Bridge today you had to deal with it because Sanker's social commentary is loud, colorful and in your face.

Cherisse Halsall:
"Now tell me about the Trump painting because you say that when you were painting it a lot of people said it was a waste of Canvas."

Alex Sanker, Artist
"Oh yes, yes, yes when I started the Trump painting two weeks ago people would be like Alex I love your work I know you're on top of your game but you're wasting canvas and paint. I even told a friend I have $10,000.00. I bet you that Trump will lose this election. He was like I no have they kind of money but I woulda bet you $100.00 and when I called him back he be like. Nah I ain't even messing with that but the bottom line is as I said people just go ahead and see what they want to see I pay attention the way government run and etc and when people get tired, people get tired."

And Sanker says he's not any kind of P choosing this election to endorse Belmopan's independent candidate Anna Banner guy.

Alex Sanker, Artist
"I did an endorsement with Anna she's an independent candidate and her thing, her whole history is about working with the youths and kids, my aim right now is to try and big up, if you notice. I did one with Tracy. I'm trying to big up female in this, in the government and holding office because we all know what man capable of doing. They have prove themselves over and over that they are unreliable and unpredictable and there's too much corruption so we gotta do something new."

And while Sanker the feminist says he called the US election two weeks early we wondered if he has a prediction for Belize's election?

Alex Sanker, Artist
"This painting is titled a new day meaning again if you notice this whole stretch is PUP, UDP, TRUMP general. I do not favor any political party because political parties are basically a death trap. I' m not doing this to secure my legacy but to keep it real and represent something but something positive, so with this piece here lot of people won't want to hear that because I have a lot of friends on both sides but I'm watching the way things go.and i'll be honest with you. I'm sorry but the painting is depicting that we're gonna have a new party which is the people's United Party."

Sanker says this prophetic piece is on sale tomorrow but that after the election, if proven right, it's price will double, if proven wrong, it ends up in the ashen of history.
