And from that magical jungle to a tragic one.
The film Selva Tragica premieres tonight at Midnight on Netflix, It's a Mexican film starring multiple Belizeans including protagonist Indira Andrewin and supporting Actress Shantel Obispo.
We spoke to Indira many months ago when the news broke that she'd be jetting off to the Venice Film festival to light up the Red carpet with Belizean charm. Today we had her back in our Zoom room but we also got a chance to talk to Shantai, who told us about her character Florence and why every Belizean should strive for their dreams no matter how impossible or out of reach those dreams may seem.
And the actresses aren't stopping there. Obispo says she's since starred in two Belizean skits for youtube, and also has two films in the works with U.S.-based Belizean-led production Companies.
As for Indira she's currently focused on launching skincare brand COCO LOVE but says that once that's launched she'll get back to filming and sending out auditions with the hope of many more film roles.
