About a month ago, we told you about a Christmas charity event that was being organized by the Ladyville resident, Kevin Dawson.
He's a chef by trade, and he told us that after seeing the economic struggles of his fellow residents, which were mostly brought on by the pandemic, he was moved to spread a little holiday cheer to the neediest families in the community. The plan was to deliver a hot meal and a gift to kids from households in Ladyville and Lords Bank on Christmas Day.
The problem is, that he couldn't cover the expense of the venture out-of-pocket, and so, he turned to the general public for help to bridge that gap. This initiative was a success, and earlier this week, he stopped by to say thanks to the kind folks who helped to make his first attempt possible:
Dawson says that there are early talks about a possible return to the initiative next year.
