Okay, enough with the politics...moving on:
if you're looking for an artful escape in the city, we've got just the ticket.
It's Modern Dance Movement's second annual recital, a show entitled "Classics and Characters", encompassing a wide range of cross-district dance talent from Beginners and Pre-Teens as well as Teens and Adults.
It premieres next Saturday on the Bliss Stage at 3:00 pm and we got a preview of the young ones yesterday when we caught up with the dance company founder Jaylan Craig.

"Modern Dance Movement was founded in 2019. We started just before Covid hit and we were under that lockdown so now in 2022 we are so excited to have our second annual dance recital classics and characters in person for the first time at the Bliss Center for the performing arts."
"We offer classes from the ages of three to adults today you get to see a snippet of our kid's classes and we realize having classes geared towards the kids, especially during COVID allowed them to release whatever they were feeling or if they were confused about their feelings dance was a great way for them to release that stress have some energy in a positive way."
"Our recital is on June 11th, that is next week Saturday at 3:00 p.m. it's an early afternoon show because we have been catering to dancers from out district. So, we have students coming in from Corozal, Orange Walk, Belmopan and also the toledo district. So, it's a really early show and it's a show you do not want to miss so modern dance movement invites the community. This is something that you can do for your Saturday afternoon, something fun, exciting especially if you are a dance enthusiast."
Again, Modern Dance Movement's recital is next week Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at the Bliss Centre.
