Imagine wanting to go to the biggest social event of the season but being too broke to enjoy it.
That's the situation that Cesar Batres of Benque Viejo del Carmen found himself in on the eve of his town's famous Fiesta when all he wanted was $500.00 to go splurge a little.
And, that's when he decided to take a chance on the Scratch & Win card that gave him far more than the little spending money he'd hoped for.

"I scratched on the ticket, and I receive twenty-five thousand dollars, I'm surprised about that cause now, well a lot of money, this money, doesn't come easy like that. I buy the ticket and I'm happy now because I bought my piece of land to build my house because I didn't have any land so I had to buy it."
