She's Stann Creek's, Maslin Hanson, an advocate for the rights of children and youths and the country coordinator for The Youth Ambassador's Network.

Here's a look at her inspiring post-win Sunup appearance.

Maslin Hanson, Queen Of The Bay
"It's a really great feeling I had to go through an entire journey. I worked hard and I'm so glad that all the hard work paid off. You know standing on that stage before going up when they were announcing the winners, I was like God you didn't bring me this far to abandon me so whatever happens, we'll see and then they started to call my name and I was like, Me? Again, I was like Ahh, okay okay."

"Now, that I am the Queen designate for the Queen of the Bay I will use it to push my platform and my platform is to lobby for the rights of. children and youths primarily focusing on giving them more leadership roles and also peace work."

"A winner is a dreamer who never quits every good winner's story comes from a wild dream, so if you have a dream you go for your dream push for it and take risks, you work hard practice your character and have a positive mindset and attitude because these are the qualities that will shape you to become a great individual in the future. And don't fear failure because you can't fail, you'll just be re-directed into something greater."

Queen Maslin will be officially crowned on the 10th of September.
