Back in July, we introduced you to Angela Jones, a woman whose house slid off its stilts during a storm.

It left her and her large family quite literally out in the cold but five months later, things have turned around for Angela and today she was the proud recipient of keys to a brand new house.

That house, which she calls a blessing came courtesy of her employer, Heritage Bank and Hand in Hand Ministries, the organization that singled Angela out as this year's worthy recipient.

We stopped by the new house today on North Creek Road for the handing-over ceremony.

Angela Jones, New home Owner
"It is a sure blessing for me and my family. On the 18th of June 2022, my house had crumbled and it took me six months but I thank god that today I can proudly say that I will be more comfortable with my family and a blessed Christmas me and them will share together."

Alia Jones, Mom received house
"It's a great opportunity for me because like, our house fell and it was hard for me to catch up with all that was happening but I will be much more focused now because I will be comfortable."

Steven Duncan, Managing Director, Heritage Bank

"This is the 17th home we are building in conjunction with the hand in hand ministries, noh. We. Don't know how to build houses so I need to be clear on that. Hand in Hands ministries is really the people with the know how and they lead on it. We really just sponsor and partner, noh, with them. This is annual for us and the Hand in Hand Ministries do the sort of interview and ground work to ensure that it is indeed a family that is in need and in this particular case I am sure that most of you would remember the news item where this family's home had really dropped off the stilts and fell down and they, the mother is someone who does some work with us at the bank so the family is known to us and hand in hand ministries, they did their usual screening and thought that we could assist and so we did."

Cherisse Halsall:
"I know at the time when the house initially fell you had a lot of people living in this house, has anyone moved out since then?"

Angela Jones, New home Owner
"No...laughs."

Cherisse Halsall:
"So how may people are living in the house right now?"

Angela Jones, New home Owner
"6 of us 5 adults and one baby. One 1-year-old."

Heritage Bank - where Jones works as a cleaning lady - contributed around $20,000 dollars to the building of this particular house.
