Shyne Barrow - he's a rapper turned convict turned politician and soon, his decades-long journey to the office of the Leader of the Opposition will be on the big screen. That's right, he's getting his own movie… and a TV series… and documentary. The latter is expected to be produced as early as next year, and, according to Barrow, it will do wonders for promoting Belize - not to mention, himself. And as for the motion picture… we asked Barrow who he thinks should play him.

"I am very pleased, very grateful that I was able to close a deal with Walt Disney and their subsidiaries, ESPN and Andscape to produce my bio documentary, bio motion picture, and bio TV series as well as my memoir. And that will, the documentary will be executive produced by DJ Khaled and Roc Nation so stay tuned, we will begin production here in Belize in the spring and we look for a 2024 summer release, I believe."

"And do you know if, production wise, if it will be shot in Belize and utilizing Belizean resources in terms of Human Resources."

"That's what I've been doing every opportunity I get so I certainly will use these projects as a vehicle for Belize, just like I did with Rolling Stone magazine, not the Washington Mail, not the London Tribune but Rolling Stone magazine, just as I've done with BET and MTV and Revolt TV and all of the mainstream media houses that I've spoken to within the last two years, traveling to the United States, I will continue to use these projects as vehicles to showcase and highlight a Belize in all it's grand glory."

"Jules Vasquez, No I'm just joking. They said Michael B Jordan looks like me."
