Tonight, a young man from the south is in the hospital after head trauma resulting from a motorcycle accident on PG's Cemetery road. It happened at around 1:00 PM when the man was driving his motorcycle down Punta Gorda's cemetery lane.
He was already on the approach and already going too fast to stop when he realized that the bridge he was hoping to cross wasn't there. He and the bike were flung into the drain and he got a head injury.
Residents say it hasn't been there for 11 months and, but still there are no caution signs or indicators of any kind to inform motorists of what is now a gaping hole in the now impassable road.
Luckily for the young man, police were close to the scene at the time of his accident and were able to transport him to the hospital.
