While you were sleeping last night into the morning - residents of Gales Point, Manatee were dancing in their village community center. That's because their tradition of Krismos Bram and Sambai were officially inscribed on the list of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

That came out of the UNESCO 20th Session of the Intergovernmental Committee in New Delhi, India - and here's the moment when they were inscribed - followed by some video of the reaction in "Malanti":

Krismos Bram and Sambai are now Belize's second element on UNESCO's Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, alongside the inscription of the Garifuna Language, Music and Dance.
