And, going back now to the UDP press conference - the press asked the UDP leader to comment on two current affairs: Jose Mai's alleged bad back and the government's proposed transport reforms.
When asked about Mai, she spun back on him with an insult he used on her in the House of Representatives years ago:
Tracy Panton, UDP Leader

"I think no Belizean in this country believed the kind of justification that the Prime Minister provided on the revocation of Jose Mai's appointment as a minister of government. We know for sure that the Governor General of Belize has signed off and has revoked his appointment as a member of cabinet."
"If Mr. Mai had fallen off a horse or if he sat on carrots, I don't know which one, the Belizean people were not aware of that matter until the government's hand was forced, until the prime minister's hands were forced to have him removed from cabinet."
"If, if, a big IF for me, if indeed Mr. Mai needs medical attention, he can be assured of our thoughts and prayers."
